Another big problem to look for is kinked and compressed flexible duct in your attic. It causes restricted airflow and excessive energy useage. Another big problem to look for is kinked and and compressed flexible duct in your attic that causes restrictedd airflow and excessive energy useage. One way I’ve found to solve the problem is to install a product called FlexFlow Elbow. They strap on over existing flexible duct to form a 90-degree elbow. Google FlexFlow Elbow to see.

She makes some good points, however, she states that the home inspection will take about 2 hours. As a licensed home inspector since 90 in Texas, I’ll just say that if the inspection is less than 3 hours for a small home, you got ripped off. Second, ASHI is a good organization but don’t rely on the fact that just because someone belongs to an organization that they are good or even qualified. Quiz your inspection on how they inspect the house, do they go deep into the HVAC system?, etc.
