As you do this whether you know it or not, you breath it in. Depending on the severity of the area it can be cleaned by a professional ONLY. She makes some good points, however, she states that the home inspection will take about 2 hours. As a licensed home inspector since 90 in Texas, I’ll just say that if the inspection is less than 3 hours for a small home, you got ripped off. Second, ASHI is a good organization but don’t rely on the fact that just because someone belongs to an organization that they are good or even qualified. Quiz your inspection on how they inspect the house, do they go deep into the HVAC system?, etc.

Beside the area invected by mold, are the mold harmful? Is it only 1 or many type(s) of black mold on the wall?
